Beach House @ Pabst Theater 4/3/10

My first Beach House show, my first trip to the beautiful Pabst Theater. They harmonized beautifully. Despite touring in support of their well-received third album "Teen Dream" and on the heels of their almost constantly-played single "10 Mile Stereo" it was surprising how few fans at the Pabst were familiar with the material or even excited to be there. But that was about the extent of the band chatter/interaction with the crowd. The set was straightforward, with the aforementioned single stereotypically saved for the final song of the encore. Yet, despite the paint-by-numbers style, the execution was flawless and made for a genuinely relaxing and enjoyable show. A-
