The ever earnest local heroes, Smoking Popes, played a spirited end-of-tour extravaganza that served mostly as a best-of/feel-good discography, not that 1/2 capacity crowd was complaining. Always a lively act, the band thankfully paid only moderate attention to their latest release, focusing instead on their decade-old hits, but played with aplomb and fervor. Buzz-worthy.
