Besnard Lakes put on an amazing show last night. Frankie Rose and the Outs was a pleasant (if not quite up to the hype) opener, but both sets made me realize I haven't been to nearly enough live shows in this new year. We're in the middle of the Tomorrow Never Knows festival in these parts, and I'm kicking myself for not seeing more of it. But, that all changes now. New shows have been added to the SHOWcal, including Crystal Castles, Smoking Popes, Of Montreal, and Simian Mobile Disco. Here's what's on tap for the coming week:
